LOCAL DELIVERY

Special Handling Charges in Local Delivery

When extra charges apply, and what they cost
Our standard local delivery service covers delivery under normal conditions. Some deliveries require extra labour, time, manpower, special equipment or access arrangements. In those cases special handling charges apply.

THESE CHARGES ARE NOT AUTOMATIC

They apply only when additional resources are genuinely needed. Whenever the condition is known before delivery, we will tell you in advance.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are special handling charges needed?

They apply when delivery requires extra time, manpower, equipment or access arrangements beyond normal doorstep delivery.

Will I be charged automatically?

No. Charges apply only when special handling is genuinely required. If the condition is known before delivery, we will tell you in advance.

Are these prices fixed?

The amounts shown are starting prices. The final charge depends on item weight, size, number of storeys and manpower needed. We confirm the amount before starting work.

What if my item cannot fit into the lift?

We first assess whether staircase delivery can be carried out safely. If it can, staircase charges apply. If we judge it unsafe, we will discuss alternatives with you.

How can I avoid these charges?

Tell us your floor level, whether there is lift access, and the size and weight of your goods before delivery, and make sure someone is present to receive them. Most extra charges are avoidable.

Why does Jurong Island cost more?

Jurong Island is a restricted-access industrial area requiring passes, visitor registration and checkpoint screening. Most couriers do not serve it at all.
